Abstract/Summary

Report on the excavation of three trenches at 49-51 Lower Bridge St. in 1990 in response to proposals to redevelop outbuildings and regrade a yard surface to the rear of the main building. The earliest recorded deposits were Roman, and included cremated human remains, a backfilled cellar that may be medieval, and an eighteenth century pit.
