1779 the old Hall was destroyed by fire and family moved to the southern end of the park. Includes: a possible eighteenth century Deer House (demolished) and eighteenth and/or century Ice House/s. Also an Italian water garden, extensive walled gardens, pigeon house and later developments including lake, terraces, an avenue and formal gardens. Thomas Stanley planted the beech trees on the edge of the moat.

The park and gardens were still maintained in 1938 when the estate was sold. They included a water garden surrounded by terraces and herbaceous borders, latticework iron gates from the Poultry House at Winnington Hall and an obelisk of 1750 with the Stanley eagle crest. Fell into decay in the 1940s, but partially restored in the 1950s by ICI.

Parkland features visible and some plots have 'park' as an element of the plot name. It is possible that these derive from the earlier Deer Park (See CHER 1404/6/0).

Depicts an interupted avenue of trees extending from the eastern side of the park in a north easterly direction to Slade Lane.

The large area of parkland originates in a deer park associated with the Old Hall (see CHER 1404/6/0). Near the mere was a Deer House of unusual design (demolished – see CHER 1404/5/1). Elsewhere are woodland walkways, a serpentine lake, an arboretum, and a kitchen garden with an underground network of heating flues. The formal water garden survives and was restored in 1965. Just outside is an ice house and octagonal dovecote.
