Summary

A bakery and a brewhouse were situated in the north range of buildings in the abbey’s Great Court (CHER 10640/12), in addition to storerooms and other domestic structures. The former had two ovens, one reported to have been c 6m in diameter. The present north and west ranges consist of Georgian terraces. Full Description

A bakery and a brewhouse were situated in the north range of buildings in the abbey’s Great Court (CHER 10640/12), in addition to storerooms and other domestic structures (1, 2). The former had two ovens, one reported to have been c 6m in diameter. The present north and west ranges consist of Georgian terraces (2, 3).
