Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief undertaken between October 1995 to January 1996 during groundworks for a housing development close to the scheduled monument of Kinderton Hall Farm, Middlewich. Previous monitoring work during road construction in 1995 revealed the remains of a medieval timber structure just outside the south-west corner of the scheduled area. Features recorded included a possible Roman hearth, part of a timber structure of inderterminate date and several ditches. Pottery fragments dating from the Roman to post medieval periods were recovered.
