A building assessment of the Hall carried out in 2005 identified several phases of construction within the Hall beginning with its initial construction in the mid 17th century followed by a long period of limited alteration until 1841 when the first minor extension was added consisting of a small bay to the front and an extension to the rear. Between 1841 and 1871 the Hall then saw several major programmes of alteration with six recorded extensions creating the present structure. Throughout the 20th century there have been small internal alterations as well as some extensions including a small hall with a stage with an associated corridor and an external store room. (2)
