Description

The archaeological investigation comprised the monitoring of seven test trenches within the grounds of Boughton Hall. These trenches were being dug by JCB as part of a geotechnical soakaway test. Little archaeological evidence was evident, although a ditch containing eighteenth century pottery and a large ditch with no dateable evidence, cut by the former ditch, were observed.
