Description

A second phase of excavation was carried out in 1956 on the site of the granaries, previously discovered in 1954 (ECH3120). This excavation was carried out on the site of a new church immediately to the south of the original excavation and offered the opportunity to locate the south wall of the third granary. The results were good, identifying the granary in 4 trenches as well as a fourth cellar as well as the eastern end of the granary. (1)
