Abstract/Summary

Evaluation work in the vicinity of (but outside of) the Scheduled Roman site revealed eveidence of Roman deposits at a depth of 0.5m. These were interprested as a Roman cultivation soil that had developed from the third century over an area of backfilled Roman quarrying.
