Abstract/Summary

An archaeological impact assessment was undertaken in 1992 as part of a scheme of works prior to the development of Carden Hall and park. This study targetted the area covered by a proposed Golf Academy in the park, to the south-west of Cardenhall Farm; it comprised a desk-based study and field walking. Four main types of post medieval archaeological features were identified - field boundaries, narrow ridge and furrow, marl pits and three buildings, only one of which is still standing.
