Full Description

The tithe map for Carden township, circa 1839 (source 2), depicts a building within a plot to the south of Cardenhall Farm, now Carden Hotel. The tithe apportionment records the following information - Plot 159, Cottage and Garden, owned by John Hurleston Leche and occupied by John Povah. The buildings are no longer depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map of 1872-1882 (source 3). (1)
