Description

A survey initiated in 1979 by the North West Landscape Group (a Chapter of the Landscape Institute). The survey was carried out between 1980 and 1983 and formed part of a national survey of English Counties being undertaken by The Garden History Society. Seventy-nine sites were identified and classified into three grades (A to C).
