Capesthorne Park and Gardens. A line of descending lakes within the undulating parkland gives a fine setting for the formal garden facing the lake on the south side of the Hall (formerly the kitchen garden). The formal garden areas are well planted in design terms with herbaceous plants and shrubs. Plans exist showing the west garden laid out as a large geometric garden for flowers and shrubs in the nineteenth century, but it is now a lawn. There is also an attractive woodland garden with a cascade and small stream and an additional wooded lake south-west of the Hall. Classified as a Grade A site by the North West Landscape Group.
