Description

Archaeological evaluation carried out in July 2005 in the area around the Tower Wharf basin in advance of redevelopment of the site. 13 evaluation trenches were excavated recording evidence of Roman remains including cultivation soils, ditches and structural evidence while later post medieval evidence includes Civil War earthworks
