Description
Excavation and survey associated with the moat and landscape surrounding Hefferston Grange. Excavation established that the earthwork previously identified as the western arm of the moat was in fact a Ha Ha of eighteenth century date. Survey identified areas of ridge and furrow, a track-way and two ‘settlement’ enclosures. The icehouse was also ‘cleared’ at this time.
