Description

Report details the archaeological observations made during test pitting and boreholing carried out as part of the proposed Gorse Stacks redevelopment scheme. Report is part of a second stage of evaluation following more extensive trial excavation in 2002 and confirm the evidence of the original evaluation suggesting deep soil layers across the site. The layers appear to be deliberate deposition of material since the post Roman period.
