Description

An archaeological evaluation at The Bars, Russell St., between March and April 2001, in advance of redevelopment at the site (1). A total of five evaluation trenches were excavated by mechanical diggers, a total area of 68.2 square metres, and revealed Roman deposits, post-medieval building sequences and eighteenth century garden soils (1).
