Abstract/Summary
report on the Archaeological monitoring of upgrading work to the water services along Dee Lane and the Headlands, Chester. Excavations revealed layers of 20th century build up, generally associated with the construction of the road and modern services, with in situ archaeology at a depth of 0.4m below the road surface. A 16th century sandstone and brick wall was identified running northeast-southwest and a 19th century sandstone wall was identified running northsouth.
