Abstract/Summary
Report on the excavation in advance of a proposed redevelopment of Dee House, Chester. The work examined the foundations of the existing building, with a view to adopting a mitigation strategy for the design of the foundations for the new building, and established the depth at which significant archaeological deposits survive. Thirty-five trenches were excavated, largely by hand, with Roman and medieval deposits identified across the site.
