Abstract/Summary

The result of 3 test trenches demonstrated the presence of a thick soil accumulation of little archaeological merit on the north side of the wall. Although no features of archaeological interest was observed at this level, there was a very deep overburden of soil and medieval pottery was recovered from a lower soil level.
