Abstract/Summary

The project was undertaken by the Historic Environment section of Transport and Regeneration as part of a national programme developed and funded by English Heritage and encompassed Cheshire, Warrington, Halton and the Wirral. It sought to identify key historic landscape types and draw up recommendations for their future management. In addition the project has created a wide data set which can be used as a starting point for research into Cheshire’s historic landscape.
