Abstract/Summary
Report written in 1971 in response to proposed demolition of Wright's Almshouses and associated gateway on Hospital Street. Justification given to relocate the cottages to a site adjacent to Crewe's Almhouses, Beam Street. This was done in 1975-6 and the former site on Hospital Street was subject to an archaeological excavation.
