Summary

Grade II listed building listed in the Gazetteer of East Cheshire Textile Mills. It is a good example of 'Georgian' mill style. Brick built, three storeys and a basement. The small pediment in the centre originally contained a clock. Shown on the 1st edition OS 6" (1881-82) and 25" (1875) maps of Cheshire.

Full Description

Listed in the gazetteer of East Cheshire Mills (1). On OS 1st ed. 25" and 6" maps (2 & 3). A good example of 'Georgian' mill style; three storeys and a basement. Brick built, twelve bays long with a three bay pediment on the south front (4). Originally a silk mill. Early C19th red brick structure. Built on sloping ground with three storeys at the front and two storeys, plus basement, at the back. Eleven windows, generally retaining small paned iron lights, with stone lintels and sills. The small pediment in the centre originally contained a clock. Has a hipped slate roof (5).
