Summary

Listed in the Gazetteer of East Cheshire Textile mills. Replaced the Albert Mill in 1924. The arrival of the silk industry in the 1750's brought new prosperity and growth to Congleton with up to thirty four mills operating in the town using the River Dane and Howty Brook.
