Summary

The garden wall and gateway at Burton Hall are Grade II listed. They were built at the same time as the Hall, in the 17th century. It is a low brick wall on a stone base with triangular and beaded coping. At the centre of the north side is a semi-circular headed moulded stone archway.

Garden Wall & Gateway at Burton Hall, the Village. Early C17 for John Werden with later repairs. English bond brick with buff sandstone dressings. Low brick wall on stone base with triangular and beaded coping. Wall runs to south-west and north of hall, with inserted openings in south and west. At the centre of the north side is a semi-circular headed moulded stone archway with keyblock and pendant and a flat hood mould above. Full architectural description (1).
