Summary

The silted up mill pool which provided the power to Edge Mill. There is an earth dam retaining the pond and where this has been cut through by the stream, there is stonework suggestive of a sluice.

Full Description

A silted-up mill pool with an earthen dam and a stone wall blocks the mill leat. The dam has been broached by the stream and there is stonework at this point which may indicate a sluice system.

The head race and overflow leats, along with the mill pond are clearly depicted. The plot name is Higher Mill Pond.
