Full Description
<1> Gifford and Partners, 1996, Report on an Archaeological Evaluation at Land at The General Wolfe Public House, Church Street Warringtpn. (Client Report). SCH4059.
An excavation trench dug in 1996 (trench 2) on land to the north of Church Street recorded two V-shaped ditches, potential boundary ditches, of eighteenth/nineteenth century date. One ditch, orientated east-west, possibly represents the boundary marking the rear of properties on Church Street. The other ditch, orientated north-south, lines up with the eastern end of the General Wolfe Public House (14181).
