Summary

Aerial photographs of the Meadows records medieval ridge and furrow across the south eastern part of the meadows. The photographs indicate that is was of a ‘fanning’ type of sinuous ridge believed to be early medieval.

Aerial photographs of the Meadows records medieval ridge and furrow across the south eastern part of the meadows. The photographs indicate that is was of a ‘fanning’ type of sinuous ridge believed to be early medieval.

In the north western part of Earl's Eye, traces of ridge and furrow that are thought to be medieval are identified just east of the Parliamentarian Lower Mount (CHER 12502/9).
