Full Description
Archaeological investigations in the central area of the Roodee Racecourse in 2008 to the east of the present trainers pavilion identified evidence of a substantial ditch on a northeast to southwest alignment across the site.
The evidence consisted of a large ditch in trench 27 in advance of the insertion of a new pumping station. The ditch contained material of a 17th-18th century date. (1)
