Full Description
Archaeological investigations at the Canal side redevelopment in 2001 identified evidence of medieval cultivations soils. The results of the excavations have not yet been produced, however, and the evidence is based largely on environmental analysis of samples taken from the excavations. (1)
The 2001 phase of evaluation identified traces of a late medieval cultivation soil in trench 5 consisting of two deposits containing mixed medieval ceramics and residual Roman pottery. (2)
