Full Description
No 39-41 Eastgate Street consists of two buildings, apparently built as shops with former accommodation - now storage - above. Probably of a mid 18th century date but heavily refurbished in the early 20th century. The front is stone dress brick now largely roughcast with pargetting above, the shop front of No 41 is entirely modern. The roof is grey slate. (1)
No 39 is of stone dressed brick with largely roughcast and pargeted front. It is three storeys high and one bay in wdith and appears to form one half of a semi-detached property with the adjacent property (No 41). Both properties have been heavily altered. (1`)
