Full Description
Union Place is row of alley houses built in the 1830s, they are a rare survival of alley housing converted without significant external alteration. Although originally designed with four properties, the west row was truncated to three then partly converted to a Catholic Club and later to a homeless shelter. They are of brown brick in Flemish bond to the front and English garden wall bond to the end. They are three storeys each of a single bay width. The remaining properties on the west row have been largely extended to the rear. (1)
