Summary

This monument refers to a terrace of listed buildings on the south side of Stanley Place (the north side is represented by CHER 10413), or 1 – 13 Stanley Place and 2 Stanley St., all constructed at the same time at the end of the eighteenth century. Of the seven listed buildings on this terrace, two are Grade II*: Sedan House at 13 Stanley Place (DCH7041), and 1 Stanley Place / 2 Stanley St. (DCH7032), while the rest are Grade II. The terrace was constructed c 1780 as town houses, but each building is now predominantly office space, including DCH7037, DCH7036 and DCH7034, but DCH7039 and DCH7038 are now school buildings.
