CHESTER CITY (IM) SJ4066SW STANLEY PLACE 595-1/3/365 (South side) 28/07/55 No.5 (Formerly Listed as: STANLEY PLACE 1-9 (consec), No 10 & Nos 11-14 (consec)) GV II Town house now office and 2 flats. c1780. Flemish bond brown brick with grey slate roof. 3 storeys. Painted stone plinth; 2 stone steps to door of 4 fielded panels above 2 flush panels, with overlight expressed as a radial-bar fanlight, in a pedimented doorcase, east; 2 flush 12-pane sashes to the first storey, 2 similar sashes to second storey and 2 of 9 panes to the third storey; painted stone sills and painted slightly-cambered gauged brick window-heads; parapet cornice; 2 west chimneys shared with No.7 Stanley Place (qv). Rainwater head and pipe, the lower part renewed. The rear is altered and extended. INTERIOR: the first storey, now joined with that of No.7 Stanley Place, has most features from the principal rooms removed. Listing NGR: SJ4016366265
