Full Description
Evidence of a brick structure of uncertain form and function was identified during limited archaeological investigations to the rear of 27 Watergate Street in 1991. The investigations consisted of a single trench containing evidence of a relatively modern date in its upper layers including a series of tile and brick surfaces dating to the 19th century at the northern end of the trench, evidence of a structure and bread oven of a mid 20th century date in the central part of the trench and evidence of a brick structure containing a back fill of late 18th or early 19th century date.
