Full Description
A number of medieval features were identified during archaeological investigations at Foregate Street in 1995. The investigations, carried out by Chester Archaeology consisted of three trenches to the rear of 106-110 Foregate Street.
The evidence consisted of a possible pit feature [context 79] in trench 2 and two further pits in trench 3 [contexts 56 & 103]. The material recovered from these features mainly dated to the 13th-14th century. (1)
