Full Description
Archaeological investigations to the rear of 105-109 Foregate Street identified evidence of post medieval activity in trench 1 of the excavations. The evidence comprised a wall foundation [Context 7] aligned north-south across the trench cutting an earlier layer of post medieval accumulation deposits [Context 10] containing material of a broadly 17th century date. In addition two post medieval brick and stone lined pits were also identified [Contexts 8 & 9] (1)
