Full Description
A small assemblage of residual Roman pottery and ceramic building materials was recovered from post-medieval features and deposits during an archaeological evaluation at Albion House (Albion St.), Chester, in 2005 (1), and during a watching brief over refurbishment works in 2010 (2). It seems likely that undisturbed Roman deposits are present below the level impacted by this particular excavation, and that these finds derive from post-medieval disturbances to those horizons at this location (1).
