Full Description
Recent archaeological investigations at the Linenhall Stables (2002) recorded evidence of Roman activity in the late first to early second century. A well constructed sandstone surface overlay evidence of cultivation in the area. Although this may have been Roman it could also have been later. The surface was encountered at either end of the Linenhall Stables site in trench 3 (northern end) and trench 5 (southern end). (1)
