Summary

Manor Lock was the start of the Runcorn and Latchford Canal at the River Mersey in Warrington. Constructed in stone, which is still visible in Victoria Park, the lock had double wooden gates at each end and a swing bridge at it's southern end.

Full Description

Manor Lock: Start of the Runcorn and Latchford Canal, masonry side walls, double wooden gates each end, gate paddle gear, swing bridge to south. Feeder from Woolston Cut enters here (CHER 4674/0/2) (1).

Masonry survives and canal cut is infilled (2).
