Full Description
Church of St.John the Baptist, Church Lane. The church had rectors from C14, but the present church was rebuilt by the 2nd Marquis of Westminster and consecrated in 1866 (1). Full architectural description (2). The present church appears to stand immediately to the North of the medieval church. The north aisle of the present church is built over the filled bailey ditch, and slumping has led to structural problems (1).
