Summary

The earliest map showing this water powered flour mill dates from 1777, but this mill is believed to be site of Ince Mill, which is mentioned in documents dating from the 13th century. The mill seems to have gone out of operation after 1874, with the mill buildings being demolished by 1896. Some form of water pump was located here during the early part of the 20th century. The site now lies within Stanlow oil refinery.
