Description

Archaeological watching brief carried out during groundworks to the rear of Oddfellows Hall, Chester. A substantial 13th century wall revealed along the south side of the site which may have formed the north wall of a structure in the area of Heritage Court and formed the boundary of a plot fronting Lower Bridge Street. Several 13th-14th century rubbish pits were also noted. Further evidence relating to the 17th century Oddfellows Hall was also recorded.
