Description

Watching brief carried out during the restoration of a 7m long section of the City Wall. Observations were limited to the area of masonry behind the outer skin of the city wall to a height of 2-3m above ground level. At this site there appeared to be a low level of preservation of Roman masonry. Only at the westernmost extent of the section were the full eleven courses noted. (1)
