Description

Northgate St. East, 1883: At the premises of Mr Harvey, ironmonger, on Northgate St. East, reportedly thirty feet from the frontage, a hoard ('a bucketful' of bronze Roman coins were found in a sunken coffer while excavating and extending the cellar (1).
