Description

Six evaluation trenches were excavated. The evaluation has confirmed that archaeological features and deposits dating from the Roman to post-medieval periods survive in a good state of preservation, in between later disturbances, across the area. However, a thick layer of over-burden, of little archaeological merit, currently protects the archaeology, particularly on the west side of the church.
