Description

An archaeological watching brief carried out during excavation for new services at the Commercial Hotel, Chester, on the site of the graveyard associated with St Peter's Church, revealed the wall for a nineteenth century coal shute associated with the hotel and a modern flagged surface which overlay an imported nineteenth century make up deposit. No other archaeological features were identified.
