Description

An Archaeological Watching Brief was undertaken at the site during August and September 2006 in response to planning conditions. The investigation comprised the monitoring of the topsoil strip of the site and a metal detector survey of the site and spoil. The Archaeological Watching Brief revealed no archaeological features on the site. The finds recovered from this site were located by the implementation of a metal detector survey. The finds range in date from Roman to modern and represent a fairly typical collection of finds from a ploughed site.
