Full Description
Gold Ring with garnet in oval pie dish setting. This hoop is of triangular setting with clasped hands at rear. Inscription in lombardic lettering reading 'AVN NMU AVI :MU' is unintelligible but suggests C13 date. Found by footpath with metal detector. Taken to Grosvenor and British Museums for identification and subject of an inquest (1).
