Description

An archaeological assessment which comprised a desk-based survey and surface inspection of the proposed Warrington Southern Expressway Phase III. One feature of significant archaeological potential was identified, a Grade II Listed Building, No. 14 Bewsey Street. Areas of moderate archaeological potential were identified to either side of Winwick Street, at the junction of Kendrick Street and Froghall Lane and in the eastern 300m of the proposed route corridor. A number of areas with known modern disturbance and therefore no archaeological potential were also identified. (1)
