Description
Major excavations in St Martin's Fields in 1965 near to the site of the 1945 excavations by Newstead. The excavations revealed an interval tower present as robber trenches and foundations, evidence for the fortress wall, the intervallum road, barracks blocks and two rampart buildings were recorded (1)
